Unhappy Linksys Wireless Card in Fedora Core 3

Hi all,

I have an inspiron with FC3 and a Linkys WPC11 v.3 wireless card. Problem is, many times when I start the computer, although it loads the appropriate orinoco modules etc, and the card is listed in the hardware browser as a valid device and status ok, if I try to activate the card I get messages indicating the card is not present. Restarting pcmcia services several times solves the problem, but was wondering if anyone has a better fix. Thanks!
