Light wine distro

Hi all,

I would like a light distro (for an old Powerbook G4 with only 4GB free space (to be installed in emulator)) that has Wine capability (the reason I need to install Linux on the Mac is to run a Windows program) and is easy to use (for a noob, if possible). Any ideas ?

Thank you !

RECAP:

Light Distro + Wine supported

Since the G4 is a PPC processor, you would need more than Wine to run Windows programs, you would have to emulate an x86 processor. Thanks to Bochs, this is possible possible, but so far from being practical that you would be further ahead buying another computer.

It is possible run 80x86 code on a PowerPC with out doing any emulation. The Linux kernel have to be re-written to provide this feature. WINE may then have to be re-written to take advantage of it.

These days there are $300 (new) notebooks being sold that could run Linux.

All taken care of. My emulator does that (simulate x86). Now any ideas on distros ?

Thanks !
