Letter Missing on GUI, Alphabet is malfunctioning on Samsung R730

Most text describing my GUI is missing and many letters are replaced with spaces.

I have not reinstalled since I do not have a secure backup but I have ran updates and upgrades with no avail.

Example:

"Computer" Folder looks like "C p t "

"MinecraftWorlds" looks like " f w "

Thank you In Advance!

Hi...

What is the distribution and version of Linux you're using? Also, please open a terminal and post the results of this command...

Code:
lspci -nnk | grep VGA -A 12
I did find a couple links concerning this issue on Ubuntu but some of the solutions involve the graphics driver, which may not be applicable to you...
