Angry Learning the ins and outs of Ubuntu


Hello my name is Kathryn, I'm in the making of changing my OS from Windows 7 to Ubuntu 12.05 yesterday i downloaded Ubuntu and when i login Grub> and i can't login will you help me please.

Normally, the Grub screen will appear for a few seconds to allow you to choose the operating system (if you are dual boot) then boot the default choice (or the choice you select). You would not need to log into Grub itself unless you needed to modify it--not something to be done without research.

Could you please describe in a little more detail what exactly you are seeing?
