Laptop wont boot linux cd
I own an HP530 laptop that came with vista and was able to add an xp partion. i tried to install linux but my laptop doesnt seem to recognise the linux cd as a bootable disk. i tried knoppix 1.0 and 1.5 and ubuntu, i dont believe i would have any luck with other os'. can anyone advise me on wht coul be the problem.

So, it'll boot the windows install discs but no linux disc?
How did you make the cd? Did you use windows or a linux distro to make the CD? What app did you use to burn the cd? Can the laptop boot from USB if you have USB? Welcome to LQ too |
