I'm getting trouble with my old thinkpad 600.
I need a laptop for net surfing at university, but I have no $$ to buy new one.
Then I've tried some solutions:
1. one year ago, debian floppy net install, it does not recognize pcmcia eth card
2. one year ago, NetBSD 2.1, it roxxx, detects my pcmcia eth card (tulip module i think) and downloads all the packages from ftp... but I was/I am to noob for bsd I think.
3. yesterday, slackware 9.1 ftp method install: all settings for ftp ok, but file transfert does not starts and it tells me that I can reboot pc for use it :|
4. today, slackware 11.0: I built an NFS server on my windows machine on the local network.
When I specify address and folder of my win machine, it seems to be ok, return to the menu but it lose all information that I input before (keyboard layout, target drive) so It enters in a loop and I get fucked
please tell me a solution...
