Laptop with nvidia GPU but there is no nvidia badge on it !!
Im planning to buy this laptop http://bit.ly/cOqbCu which has the nvidiaGT 330M but I seen it on the preview at the store it hasnt the nvidia badge like the one on this laptop http://yfrog.com/18badgesj that makes me afraid of this nvidia card with this laptop. Does this badge make any difference or make sense ?
I know maybe this question isnt related to linux but I dont use too much forums to post this kind of questions on it
you mean no one put the sticker on the laptop.
if the person selling the laptop is unable to bring up the device manager and show you the out put of the hardware inside then do not buy it.
this is a hardware question. Do you really believe every sticker you read?
the first one is the manufacture specs from the Toshiba site which one would you believe.
One less sticker to peel off, in my opinion! :)
Serously - Sony probably paid more to nVidia, and got some stickers to stick on their product, to make you and me think that there's something special inside there that the other one doesn't have. They both claim to have the same make/model of video card, and so they probably do.
If you're not sure, bring a LiveCD with you to the store and run `lspci` on it to make sure it's the advertised nvidia card. Or, as Drakeo wrote, they will either show you, or let you find out for yourself, what's inside the machine, before you buy.
