Laptop w/ ATI 9600 and dual monitor

Hello all,

I have just installed Mandriva 2009 Powerpack.

I have laptop compaq nc6000 with external display HP1740 which can do 1280*1024.

I haev installed the ATI proprietary drivers and setup dual display using the ATI Control Center.

All is working fine except that I am unable to set my second display to show 1280x1024. It is automatically set to 1024x768.

My Monitor is correctly recognized as I can see the maximum resolution of it on te ATI center.

Here is my xorg populated by aticonfig...

Hello lgdp,

I'm running systems with ati-graphics without any problems but I'm not experienced in using 2 monitors. I suggest running aticonfig without any options, this will print a verbose message to stdout which will give you a hint for a solution of your problem.
