Hi everyone my laptop has an inbuilt multi card but when I put in my sd card nothing happens. If I use my lead from the camera and all is okay. Your lspci output would be helpful.

I have one that is listed as:
Code:
0a:09.2 Mass storage controller: Texas Instruments 5-in-1 Multimedia Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO/xD)
It seems to be a pretty common reader. If that is what you have, you will need to have the following modules loaded:
Code:
tifm_7xx1, tifm_sd, mmc_core and tifm_core
