Laptop installation info

Hi, I'm new here and I have a few questions about linux on laptops.

First, I have a Toshiba Satellite m65-s9092 and i was wondering if there were any problems with puting SuSE 10.1 (because I already have a copy) on it. I know that there were some issues with the graphics card... If SuSE just won't work well, are there any distributions that will?

Alternatly, what about the Panasonic Toughbooks? Are ther any linux distributions that work on them?
