kubuntu-live wireless networking

in kubuntu i use kwifimanager to get my card setup, it'll connect to my router(without an IP adress though) then when i go to the control center to enable the device to use DHCP it'll try then a second later it'll quit.

I haven't tried wired networking as I don't think I have a spare ethernet cord to use.

Ok, I am assuming there's a question hiding in there someplace?

What card are you using? Is the correct driver loaded for it? What do you get if you enter iwconfig? Are you using WEP? Is the correct key configured if you are?

Try configuring and connecting from command line and see if you get any errors.
