Knoppix doesn´t work on a acer travelmate 243lc

i´ve got a big problem!
knoppix doesn´t work on my notebook. when i press enter to boot the screen turns black and never turn back normal again! what´s the problem?
i even typed knoppix 2!
what can i do to make knoppix run on my system?

are there any alternatives to knoppix? i even tried insert(also kind of knoppix) and it doesn´t work either!

I have the same problem on a Panasonic CF-71 Toughbook. Knoppix 3.2 does boot and run, but 3.4 does not, dying while entering runlevel 5. I have no idea how to fix, since noapm noacpi boot arguments didn't work.
Try 3.2 if you can find a mirror.
