keyboard of laptop with Slackware

Hi,

I have one laptop Dell Vostro 1310, and I am installing Slackware 12.1.

My Question is:

Why sometimes in linux, my keyboard and my mouse not work in runlevel 3 or runlevel 4?

Thank for you help, and your time.

I try add this line at file lilo.conf
append="i.8042.reset"
but not this solution is not work

Do what I did. Update kernel Then try again. If that will not help then try to change keyboard layout (this also sometimes helps).
