Kernel Panic during Debian booting


Hi folks,

This is the message that i get during booting

Kernel panic :VFS :Unable to mount root fs on 00:0f


Can anyone please answer it what it means?

Do i have to give any command during LILO boot?

Thanks for any help!

It looks like your kernel does not have support for the filesystem "/" is formated in.

Do you know how to compile a kernel?
