Exclamation Kernal Panic


I am trying to install Phat Linux and i get the following message:

Kernal Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 07:07

Please help. I need this OS.

If can't find it's own boot CD it sounds like... what kind of CD/DVD drive are you using? How is it connected?

dev 07:07 is /dev/loop7, I've never installed Phat Linux, but that doesn't sound right. Did you verify that the CD and image is good?

haha what the hell

boot cd distro cant find its own boot device.

sounds like a bad burn to me
