KDE4 Power Management constantly wants to suspend laptop
Hope someone can help me with this very irritating problem with my laptop installation
HP 6735s (just a few weeks old)
The power management software installed by default is powerdevil:
>rpm -q powerdevil
The problem is that I periodically received pop-up notifications that are, as far as I can tell, incorrect; I'm frequently warned that
The computer will be suspended to RAM in 10 seconds. Click here to block the process
I receive this message at various levels of power left in the battery. It is fairly intermittent but frequently occurs when the battery is well over 40% charged. I have set the power management not to suspend to RAM at ANY battery level and I don't understand why I still get this message. I have set the settings to suspend to DISK at 5% and only give me warnings at 15% and 10%.
The other irritation is that when I get this message the wireless network card deactivates and I have to wait ~30s for it to reconnect.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction as I don't want to be tied to the mains forever,
