Question KDE won't start with Intel 945 graphics, was fine before

In ubuntu 6.06, I was using this guide to install xgl/compiz but with an intel 945 card on my laptop. I restarted, but now KDE won't start. I can start X server fine and get into it with no window manager, but KDE won't start even w/ a KDE session nor with a Compiz session.

Here's the errors that I'm getting from my x log file. Any idea what's going on or how I can fix this? Just getting kde to come up would be great, regardless of whether compiz will run or not.
