kacpi_notify consuming 50% of cpu

Hi,
I'm running slack 13.1 on my netbook Philco 1001 - Atom cpu 2g ram.
Everything works, but the acpi. When I plug or unplug the AC adapter it takes a while to change the state on /proc/acpi/battery/BAT/state, and top shows kacpi_notify consuming 50% of my cpu.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
