Hi - I've got a Thinkpad T42 and would like to setup infrared. I've compiled all the modules that I can compile - including basic irda (irda is a module too)
In dmesg, I get:
ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a NS16550A
ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a NS16550A
Which is my infrared controller. I've got udev working, so I need to get this then done too
In Bios, I've setup my infrared device as follows:
IO=0x2f8
IRQ=3
DMA=3
If I modprobe nsc_ircc, I get the following in dmesg:
nsc-ircc, Found chip at base=0x02e
nsc-ircc, driver loaded (Dag Brattli)
IrDA: Registered device irda0
nsc-ircc, Found dongle: HP HSDL-1100/HSDL-2100
So This is certainly looking good. However, when running now irdadump, I can't get anything. (I tried with an infrared-controller from my TV, if this is possibel)
So... what can I do? Thanks
