IPW3945 with Atrpms HELP!!!!


Hello all,

I tried different things and had to reload my OS a couple times. This time I tried the atrpms ipw3945 to see if it works. I get this error message can someone tell me how i could fix it or find the rpm. I search on google and other thing site.


steps i take to load ipw3945 on a Dell E1405 Fedora 8

[root@localhost Download]# yum install ipw3945-kmdl-`uname -r` ipw3945

Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
No package ipw3945-kmdl-2.6.24.4-64.fc8 available.
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package ipw3945.i386 0:1.2.0-18.4.fc8 set to be updated
--> Processing Dependency: ipw3945-kmdl-1.2.0-18.4.fc8 for package: ipw3945
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: ipw3945-kmdl-1.2.0-18.4.fc8 is needed by package ipw3945

Any kind of help would be nice.

It looks to me like the F8 package set at atrpms isn't complete. The packages for F7 look OK though. This suggests to me that you may need to look elsewhere or compile yourself.

Perhaps try rpmforge.net

Well i tried looking in rpmforge but could not find it. I need to load this driver so I could use airodump. iwl drivers do not work with the program, plus I did find out that iwl is working on my laptop. Haven't used it before.
