IPaq uses Windows CE or similar - you use SynCE from sourceforge. (I'm stunned nobody has sent you there yet!) http://synce.sourceforge.net/

Probably, this question has been asked soooo many times

hi

i have to install the synce RRA lib, so i did configure, make , make install but when i want to make the lib i get:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -g -Wall -Wsign-compare -Wno-long-long -Werror -ansi -g -O2 -I.. -g -O2 -MT common_handlers.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/common_handlers.Tpo -c common_handlers.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/common_handlers.o
cc1: warnings being treated as errors
common_handlers.c: In function 'on_mdir_line_description':
common_handlers.c:206: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 3 of 'parser_add_blob' differ in signedness
make[2]: *** [common_handlers.lo] Fout 1

So i can't proceed with the installation because there are errors

Do you know what the problem is?

Try adding http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce/kde/ into the mix too. That may simplify things somewhat.

You need to disconnect your PocketPC, run synce-serial-start as root and then find a way to run that KDE frontend. It should add an icon onto your panel which is the same as ActiveSync's icon. Then you can right-click on it and browse to your PocketPC.

TranceDude: you seriously need to read the documentation that comes with the project. It is simple, clear and no-nonsence. It will take you through the steps needed to get synce and multisync going, either from the cli or a graphical frontend.

From the SynCE HOWTO page:
Quote:
The purpose of this HOWTO is to connect a single Windows CE device with USB support to a PC running a Linux distribution with a 2.6.x kernel, as this is assumed to be the most common setup for SynCE users.
This is the page you want to get SynCE going.
