IPAQ and linux

Can anybody tell me how to install linux on an ipaq (3790) from serial cable from a windows host.

I've been able to establish a connection with my windows host, but I cannot start transferring the files nor typing boot helps.

as i recall the process involves running a webserver on your desktop, pointing the ipaq at that server, downloading a small ftp program to the ipaq, then allowing you to transfer over a bootstrap and so the story begins.

Fun.
