soory about my poot english !

i have a ipaq 3970 with an damaged bootloader (rev 2.21.12)

the boot> prompt is not work
i can see the bootloader menu, but not more

if i connect the ipaq via serial port via minicom / hyperterminal
and power on in can see this:

no action if i press "serial bootloader console" (boot> is not to see at terminalprogram)


can you tell me how to fix the bootloader ?
how to upload it without windows ce oder ext. bootloader (boot>)

i had opie-0.7.2 on the ipaq, flashed then opie-0.8.0 to my ipaq, the x-server dit not run
so i tryed to flash the opie-0.7.2 on my ipaq, but i used the wrong file (bootopie-v0.7.2-h3900.tar)

did you try to reflash the correct opie on it?

i cant reflash !

the "serial botloader console" do not work !
i dont become "boot>" prompt
so i cant do "load root" or "load bootldr"

or how to flash without bootldr / without running windows ce ?

hit handhelds.org and get on their mailing list and ask if anyone knows how to help you with this. I'm sure there's a way to fix it without sending it in for service.

the way was:

press softreset more times

then i become the "boot>" promt on serial console !

i can flash it !!! thanks !!!
