Internal WIFI card not working IBM T32 Ubuntu 8.10
I have ibm t32 with the Linux Ubuntu 8.10 OS, I need the information on how to get this piece working like a champ. Any other advice with this laptop would be tight.
Thanks for getting at me quickly it tells me this: 02:08.0 Network controller AIRONET Wireless Communications Cisco Aironet Wireless 802.11b I hope that's the info you need.
I don't find any t32 model thinkpad. Could you have meant t30?
I found this on the thinkwiki: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Cisco_...reless_802.11b
It says the driver is in the kernel. The mpi350 driver. Do an lsmod and see if the mpi350 is listed. If it isn't modprobe mpi350 will activate it.
Verify you thinkpad model number for me so we can be sure we are talking about the same card.
I restarted my computer 4 times and now it the WIFI is working, It makes me uneasy to see my computer taking so long to get to where it should be. GoinEasy9, thanks for your help it is great to know that help is out there when it is needed.
