Talking Intel mini2100 wireless support

which distribution comes with wireless enabled, so that I don't have to recompile the kernel to make my Intel2100 wireless card work. I am currently using Fedora Core 2.

thanks

Intel's mini2100 is the wireless component of the Centrino chipset, there is no native Linux driver right now... Blame Intel, they're not being forthcoming with how the thing works enough for anyone to be able to bang out a driver.

Pick your distro, compile the ndiswrapper from:

ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net

or install the driverloader:

www.linuxant.com

Just make certain your kernel source code is installed, the drivers just need it for the compile.

Gah, I just found that today too! There's a native driver for the admtek 8211 now too, next thing I know the realtek 8180 will have native support! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

Cheers,
