integrated hda audio modem bluetooth , (intel hda audio does not work)
 

Well its an media centre (center ) laptop made by dixons uk with an advent badge on it it has fky view tv tuner card which doesnt work on linux and the integrated audio has bluetooth and modem . , i tried using the fix on the alsa site fir my audio card , no joy , any suggestions its 7080 advebt laptop by the way , which is no longer available any where using suse 10.0 tried installing 10.1 just wont install .

I investigated your Labtop a little.
I found that it has a simple Realtek AC'97 audio device which should perfectly work with alsa ...
