Installing SuSe 9.1 on laptop with PCMCIA

Ok, so I'm a total linux newbie and I downloaded the SuSe 9.1 Personal CD iso from the suse website but it didn't work, it reported a LOT of errors when it was done copying all the files... I tried to fix it, but i had no clue how...
So now I'm trying a network installation, got the boot.iso running the manual installation menu but the problem is, my laptop (HP Omnibook 900) has a pcmcia network + modem card from Xircom, which isnt in the 'Load network card modules' list. But it IS on the modules4.iso (according to the readme from that file), so I used rawrite to put it on a floppy disk, put it in and click 'more modules', it asks for modules3, I insert modules4 (thats where the right modules are on so...) but says 'No new modules found', same with modules3...

So I really don't know how to install SuSe 9.1, so any help on fixing either problems would be very much appreciated...

Oh, and yes, I've searched everywhere

You are better off not using SuSE 9.1 Personal at all. SuSE 9.1 Pro is the superior package...

That said,...
When you download an ISO, there should only be one file per disk. The ISO is the image file used to burn the CDs, all packaged up so a burning application can use it to create the actual install CDs. You can check the ISOs with the checksum they provide... If you get no match, you've got errors. If you got errors, you need to download again and retry... there is no real "fixing" of download errors on an ISO, since it's one big file (per disk). Obviously, this is not something to be done on dialup.
