Installing slackare 12.1 on a toshiba A100/A105

My son asked me to install Linux to his laptop.... I use slackware 12.1 so I want to know if I can install it to the laptop.

I am trying to do it, and everything goes well until I hit the partitioning part

Disk /dev/sda: 80,0 GB, 80026361886 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9729 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

/dev/sda1 * 1 9728 78140128 7 HPFS/NTFS

well, I just don't have enough bytes left for the other partitions
Can Slackware 12.1 be install on a toshiba A100/A105?

If it can...I would like to know how to make to partitions...?

Thank you for your help...

Looks like windows is taking up all the space. Go into windows on the lappy and right click computer > management > Then Disk Management. From there you can click windows partition and shrink volume, this will open up freespace that slackware can use. (This is for Windows Vista /7 , XP i think u'll need external program to shrink space).

Thanks for your reply JK3mp

I just finished installing the slackware to the laptop and so far its working great..... I didn't have to use any external program to shrink the partition...I deleted the first partition, and redid them all again, well the only problem now is that it doesn't connect wireless, but with the wire connects fine to internet. But the wireless can wait for now
