Installing new laptop wireless card

I have ubuntu 5.04 installed. I currently have a d-link wireless card installed and configured but I would like to give a linksys card I have a try. How do I uninstall the card the system sees now and install the new card. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Just unplug the old one and plugin the new one, I doubt you'll have to change anything.

I tried that and it didn't work. As soon as I put the old one back in everything worked again.

Are you sure the Linksys one is supported, a lot of their newer stuff uses crappy Broadcom chipsets.
