installing linux on my laptop
 
Hi:

I'm installing linux debian 3.1 in my laptop, the installation ask me for a video controller. This driver allow me use ther server X. The problem is I don't know what is the controller I have to select in my laptop. My laptop is a lenovo.

Who know?

log in as root and type the command lspci. It will probably tell you what you have.

in worst case, VESA works for any video card made since 10 years... it's the safe guess.
