Installing Linux on a new PDA

Hey people,

I think I'll buy the Jackito (all information about it on http://www.jackito-pda.com/). Do you think I could install Linux on it ? Don't you think it won't be too hard ? Or, at the less, could there be an emulator, or something like this, to have Linux despite of the original OS (which seems weirdd) ? A thing I like is that there is no stylus, so no way loosing it, and there is a wide screen and it seems that the audio's rather good ; but is the DD place enough to install Linux on it ? And even, is it possible ?!?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Don't count on being able to reverse engineer it.

It sounds like the whole package is relatively tightly integrated and very proprietary. It'd be tough just getting specs on how things run, let alone be able to exploit it to get a Linux distribution running on it.

If you want an off-beat Linux PDA, try a Yopy:

I think you'd have better luck tinkering with it.
