Installed apps on Openzaurus 3.5.2 don't appear on tabs?

I installed the latest version of OZ on my 5500, and proceeded to install my favorite apps from the openzaurus software feed. Many installed o.k, but nothing I install appears on the tabs. I can use the filemanager to find the apps files, but I can't seem to find the executables. I use a ext2 formatted SD card for anything that will successfully install there. Am I missing something?

I installed the opie version of openzaurus at 42-24.

Additionally, several packages, like konqueror, keep telling me I am missing opie-base. I looked everywhere for the package opie-base and came up empty.

Anyone have a clue where I went wrong??

I think I have this problem solved. It seems the package manager that ships with 3.5.2 sucks. Here is the howto to fix package problems in OZ. Keep in mind the thread was for 3.5.1, so you have to change the URL of the feed to

http://openzaurus.org/official/unsta...5.2/feed/opie/

Here is a link to the thread that solved this mess.
