Angry install windows xp and red-hat in a hd


Hello !
I have a Laptop Dell 320 GB.I have three drive C,D,E.
I have installed Windows XP in C drive.in D drive I want to install Red-hat Linux. Can anyone help me to do this.Please

You will lose your data on the D: drive! but here!

if you want a more true Redhat Environment then download and install CentOS

Are those separate drives or separate partitions?

Note that Linux doesn't have anything remotely similar to drive letters, it represents drives as files that let you access the raw bytes on the disk. To use them, you "mount" them to a directory and the directory's contents will mirror the contents of the device. The naming convention works like this:

Code:
/dev/sda    first drive
/dev/sda1   first partition on first drive
/dev/sda2   second partition on first drive
/dev/sdb    second drive
/dev/sdb1   first partition of second drive

I hoe you mean "Red Hat Enterprise Linux", not just "Red Hat Linux" (which is extremely outdated, do not use it).

because you cannot get the updates from redhat with out subscription - was referring to free

unless you go and possibly change repo's

maybe i just worded it wrong and for that I am sorry, it was 5am when i replied. =)

The OP didn't say that he's not paying.

But I agree, if he won't pay, he should get CentOS instead.
