Inspiron 6000

Hi all,

I recently got a laptop DELL Inspiron 6000. I tried to install mandrake 10.1 in this. But it saying an error No CD ROM found!!. I searched in web and got someway to install it.
With kernel 2.4 I was able to load linux. But could not upgrade the kernel and install graphics driver.

waiting for suggestions/solutions.

i forget the workaround for this error..... i found it on google once, I tried it and couldnt get it to work, I believe there was some kind of option to get Mandrake to load a 2.6 kernel for the install and then it works.
