ICEauthority


All of a sudden whe I try to log into my fedora linux, I get Could not update /home/username/.ICEauthority. I tried
$chown user -R /home/user (where user is obviously your user name - run as su - )

but it doesnt work.

I tried deleting the file so linux creates it back, but it doesnt work

I ls -l /home/username and I have persmissions to the ICEauthority file, bu it wont work.


any help please?? I can log in command prompt as root at the screen clt +alt + f3 and f1

Have you found a solution? What is it? I just ran into this problem and am about to reboot.
