im trying to configure my r51's ultranav, ive got the touchpad running with the synaptics driver, but now the red nub wont work, before installing the synaptics driver, both worked and all the buttons worked as well, now just the touchpad and the 2 lower buttons work, does anyone have experience making them both work with all buttons? sample xf86 config files would be great

If both the ultranav and the touchpad worked prior to the synaptics driver, why did you bother to install it? Perhaps I'm missing some obvious point, but as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. In any event, I'd suggest reversing any steps you took with the synaptics driver. If that does not resolve it, could you post the contents of your XF86Config file? -- J.W.
i installed the synaptics driver so i could use the side scroling and what not, but last night i got both devices to work, it turns out i has the trackpoint pointed at the wrong device,
fuzzhead85 -- excellent, congrats on solving the issue. If you are so inclined it may be useful to post up your (working) XF86Config so that future visitors who may encounter the same difficulty can see how you solved it. Thanks -- J.W.
