hi every one reading this

i have problem with my thinkpad x30 that my modem is not working and i cant dail to the internet . when i try to make a dail up connection it ssay that it cant find modem or something like that . i think my modem is not installed .
any can help me to install my modem driver ( i dont have the driver ). and connect to the internet.
i'm useing FEDORA C3 .
and my modem is Agere System AC'97 Modem

i will appreciate any help of you.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong (it's been known to happen), that particular winmodem isn't supported in Linux.

I'd suggest installing a supported modem or using an external serial modem. You might get lucky and find a pcmcia modem that works in Linux but a regular hardware serial modem is your better bet.

Hi,

Try "www.linux-laptop.net" site.

You might have to look around into other similar models
even if your particular model's info isn't greatfully helpful
to get some idea for workarounds.
