IBM T43 laptop and Linux RH3

Ciao,

I hope someone of you guys good give me an answer.....

*Is IBM (Lenovo) T43 laptop compatible with RedHat 3 ?

According to IBM compatibility list in IBM pages only RH4 is supported......

I heard there are some new disks which might cause this incompatibility but according to some rumours the T43 might work with RH3.......

cheers,

trombi.

You have the newest laptop chipset. Use the newest distro. Linux distro revisions are defined by kernel versions at the time of release. Which means that your laptop didn't exist when RH3's kernel was released. So, yea, use the latest.
