Angry i can't Update My VGA


I have HP Pavilion g6 net-book laptop.
and i installed it Ubuntu 11.10 inside windows.
but my ATI VGA drivers didn't support it.therefor i installed manually VGA drivers but when i was installing it,has a error massage as that "/var/...../....." sorry i forgot "...." words.
Plz help me.

a Virtual machine ???? like VB or vmware?

would that be the Microsoft windows driver on a cd ?
or the built in driver in Ubuntu
Ubuntu already HAS a driver for ati built in to the OS
there is no need to install one

If you are using Ubuntu in some virtualized environment (vmware, virtualbox, etc.) then Ubuntu sees the virtualized GPU, not the physical GPU.
