I can't find my USB port in FC4!!!
I really need help. I just tried to install uClinux on my dad's palm (shhhh....) and when I tried to sync it, (I didn't even get that far) I couldn't find the right usb port in /dev, and on top of that my laptop just went totally skitzo: it has started skipping every few keys and and every once in a while it acts like the keys are sticky. I'm starting to wonder if I haven't been hacked. Any help appretiated.

If you've been hacked, they did a poor job if you're noticing it in that way. But I seriously doubt you've been "hacked".
Are you using a usb keyboard or anything? Have you rebooted your box? (I know, a bit windowsish, but if it's hardware-related, it could help) |
Yeah, it was a software issue, tried netstat and I didn't get anything. Besides, who wants to hack linux anyway? Winblows is public enemy number 1? This is a laptop, so built in keyboard and mouse. No other devices were plugged into usb at the time. The problem is mainly that I don't know how to find the usb device. I tried lsusb, but it didn't point me to the device. Then I tried dmesg, no luck , it pointed me towards /dev/ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1, neither of which exist on my machine. Any ideas? I modprobed visor and I think serial something, if that helps. Thanks.
