HP8730w - Wireless connection cannot be enabled

I am running Red Hat Linux 5.3 (kernel: 2.6.18) on my HP8730w laptop.
For some reason, I cant enable the wireless network device.

I receive the following error by trying to do so.
Cannot activate network device wlan0.
SIOCSIFFLAGS: no such file or directory

Although I get this as an answer
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless WiFi Link 5100
I personally believe it is a 5300AGN, if that is of any importance.
Plus, wireless connection works perfect on Ubuntu Live CD.
So, I have no idea how to fix this...
