howto control cpu fan in laptop with slack10

Anyonw know if it's possible to change the temperature at wich my cpu fan start in slackware ?
my laptop is a toshiba tecra s1 and the cpu fan start at 51 celcius... i want to keep it cooler like.. 45...

Had a utility (I can't remember the name) for that. I tried it on my old dinosaur of a laptop and the MB didn't support it so I was out of luck. Just do a search under "projects" and it should come up.
