How to use ACPI to sleep/suspend?

Hello,

I am trying to send my laptop to sleep using ACPI (version 1.0.2) in Fedora Core kernel 2.6.8-1.521 but I cannot find enough information about it. I know that I need to create files in /etc/acpi/actions and /etc/acpi/events/ but I cannot find any examples. If someone could explain me the basis I guess I will manage to go on.

Thanks,

Manuel

My intuition - but I could be wrong - is that you need to study the kernel configuration. ACPI may not be supported in the default Fedora kernel as the implementation was only recently added to Linux. There are several kernel options to choose now, including suspend-to-disk (which I think is still labelled experimental).
