Question How to set up Lenovo Thinkpad T430's network devices to be efficient?

Hello Network Gurus

This question may seem a bit odd. But I've noticed that Linux network drivers are sometimes not very efficient. Especially the wireless module drivers.
So I want to know if there are some specific tweaks that can make a difference to those modules?:

I'm using XFCE mainly and less KDE. Also using Elementary OS sometimes.

pci@0000:00:19.0 eth0 network 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection
pci@0000:03:00.0 wlan0 network Centrino Advanced-N 6205 [Taylor Peak]
wwan0 network interface 3G WWAN H5321gw

And I prefer not to use proprietary windows drivers.

Also wondering how to test if my H5321gw WWAN card is operational or how to test if it's possible to turn on or off with FN+F5 keyboard shortcut when my hardware button for wireless devices is in the ON position all the time? Meaning that the keyboard shortcut allows to turn on/off WWAN / Bluetooth / Wifi all together with that single move.

Thank you in advance,
vaikus84

Linux network drivers are efficient.

For keyboard keys acting as shortcut, you have to set them up.
