How to install Red Hat with win 2000 adv server and XP pro on Toshiba Satellite

Hello Friends,
I have Windows 2000 Adv Server and XP Professional running on my Toshiba Satelline laptop. I have 3 partitions on my HD of 60GB. I just want to install Red Hat now. But just scared of loosing all my data on windows based partitions.
What is the best way to install Red Hat?, so that I dont mess with my both windows OS.
I have 3 paritions 1. 2000 adv server 2. XP Pro 3. is formatted on NTFS file system but can be deleted through FDisk.
Please tell me the best way to install Red Hat.

Thanks in advance

hi

happy new year......

First thing is backup crucial data and other stuff and den free some space, delete a partion dat doesn't have data on it(before dat move da data to some other place).. After doing dis rite click on my computer and den click on manage. In console go to disk management. Den luk for da partition dat has got 99%+ free space delete it.
Reboot you pc and boot it using red hat's cd... Den press enter... It will start running anaconda.. Will probe all da device attached to your system.. When it asks for something like choose you mouse or some stuff like dat choose it according to configuration known to you.. (If you get some problem den mention in you next post)
When it asks for partitioning, use diskdruid and it will show you your partitions. In dat console click on da free space and den click on new and on very first tab click on "/" and den click on it's size and enter mbs leaving around 250 mbs for your swap partion. Den 240+ space will be left..
again use new and dis time just go to filesystem type and click on swap where it was ext3 (when we created da / partition)... and go to fill upto maximum size and click it..... It's all done..

i'll get you da exact configuration(will have to again run da setup on my system).. to install... Just let me know how ram you have got and how much free space is free wid you... Actually i don't want you 2 to create a mess so 'll get u da exact info....... Da above info is cool if you have some idea of linux and if you are good wid windows...... Will give you da info tomorrow
