Have you tried searching? http://lmgtfy.com/?q=dual+boot+windows+7+linux

Basically it's a matter of resizing the Windows partition and installing your Linux distro of choice. Although, depending on the distro, you might have some issues getting the boot menu to display Windows 7 as an option.

Scroll down to the section "Ubuntu 'Desktop CD' installation guides"
Hope this helps.

If Ubuntu Read On

If you want to run Ubuntu 8.04 or newer just download Wubi.exe and let it run, it will take about 20 MIN depending on the machine, good luck

Simply just insert your Linux CD, then create a new partition.
Install your Linux then setup your Grub Boot Loader.
If you don't want to use Grub then you might want to use some boot loader available for Win such as EasyBCD or Wubi
