Question how to adjust brightness on webcam?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
hi all!

i have an asus 1000 (linux, xandros, easy-mode) and when i use skype (2.0, pre-installed), the video is way too dark.

if i were in the witness protection program, it would be great, however since i am not (yet ), how do i adjust the brightness?

thanks for any/all input.

(searched for related/old posts on subject and none are recent to current problem)

Cool

try to run

same problem

hello its pretty easy to install cheese you just need to go to your package manager and search for a program called cheese. but I am also having the same problem I have a logitech quick cam that works with only the glow of my laptop to illuminate me at night on windows xp. (dual booted my asus eee.) but in eeebuntu no matter where I am in the pitch black or outside in the middle of the day the camera cant hardly see me.
