Unhappy How do you play flv games on Ubuntu 12.04 (PPC)

Adobe Flash dominates social media games from Zynga and King, to name a few. Is there a workaround?

Re: How do you play flv games on Ubuntu 12.04 (PPC)

That's the rub; There is no Adobe Flash support for linux PPC. Gnash and Lightspark can't do it and there is no version of wine that works with PPC. I can get youtube to play somewhat with Gnash but the version Gnash is Shockwave 10.1. Most flv games on the internet require a minimum of SWF 10.2 to play.
PS. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS PPC on iBook G4 1.4 GHz

Ahh, I missed the PPC

what I know about PPC can be written on a postage stamp, with a football dipped in paint.

Edit:
You tube has experimental html5, which might work for you

Re: How do you play flv games on Ubuntu 12.04 (PPC)

Thanks Firerat for the info and I do use HTML5 to watch youtube video for google hangouts and the like. My AMD machine uses Flash player 10.3 as it is only 1.6 GHx and my Dell machine can use the latest Flash without incident. Still I was was hopeful that I could use the iBook the same way but it seems RISC processors have seen their day except for specialized applications. It's a shame because RISC with Unix/linux is inherently more secure than x86 even without SSL2.

Most modern CPUs are RISC CPUs at their core, even if they appear to be CISC to the outside.
Just out of curiosity, why do you think that RISC designs are more secure than CISC designs?
