Hibernate on SuSE 10.2 on Dell 1501

Hello!

I am trying to get my laptop to hibernate when the lid is closed. I'm using KDE and kpowersave on SuSE 10.2 The configuration options of the power profiles don't seem to have an option for this and it doesn't just work out of the box. I've tried editing the powersave/event config file for the EVENT_BUTTON_LID_CLOSED event and that didn't seem to make a difference either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rick

Just to follow-up my own progress, the lack of configuration in the Kpowersave GUI will be resolved in the next version. I saw screen shots and it is going to be a lot more powerful! Until then, I'm running the gnome power manager in my KDE environment and it works like a champ (right out of the box!).
