Help with mini acer laptop

hi there i have just brought a acer mini laptop that runs on kernel linux 2.6.23.9 how do i get my internet to work. with my usb mobile internet i just brought.

How do you expect to connect?
dialup or ??

If it has been correctly detected, then you may need to put in your details in KPPP or Chestnut Dialer
